Had the pleasure of sitting at the same table with Matt at the baseball banquet. Nice young man. He is a CF by trade and our CF position is vacant with Ridings' departure for the pros. He was quite low-key about what his role is going to be this coming season. I asked him who was going to be the starting CF this year. He said he thought Cody Jones would be.
Matt seems to be very happy to be in Cullowhee and wants to contribute to the team success any way he can. I think this young man is just a "natural hitter", much like Tyler White and Luke Gragg. Make contact just about every time.
