Game #1 North Florida
The University of North Florida Ospreys are members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Ospreys are coming off a 40-19 season and posted an 18-9 mark in the A-Sun in 2013. For the 2014 season, the Ospreys were picked to finish second in this year's preseason coaches poll, and sophomore outfielder Donnie Dewees and senior pitcher Tyler Moore were selected for the Preseason All-Conference team/
The Ospreys are currently 4-6 overall, and are coming off a weekend sweep by the UNC Tarheels.

The best hitter for North Florida (current best BA) is a young man named Drew Weeks. His bio says that his uncle is Eric Whitson who played for the Catamounts in the early 1990s. A solid 3B under Coach Keith LeClair who played a couple of years in the minors.
North Florida does not have anyone on the roster outside the state of Florida. Not surprising.

Only scoring one run in the 4th inning when we had the bases loaded and no one out came back to haunt us. We missed a couple of other opportunities to get a big hit and drive in some runs. Our offense sputtered.
Null pitched well enough to win, obviously. He was not dominating, as he was at Miss. State, for example. But he pitched effectively.
It was published that Jordan Smith is going to start Sunday's game. No announcement on who will be tomorrow's starter. Gotta get back on the winning track vs. Buffalo. Through the 8th inning, the Buffs have out-hit the UGA Bulldogs but had also made 5 errors and are trailing 11-9. (4 of the UGA runs have been unearned due to the errors.)

Very flat performance by the Cats today. We really didn't hit well again today. Buffalo threw a junk ball pitcher and we couldn't hit him. We did some experimenting with our pitching early and it didn't work out too well today. We fell behind 5-2 but didn't have the bats to really come back. Lost 5-4. T.J. Fussell came in and finished the game. Did a great job. 4.2 innings; 2 hits and no runs allowed; 8 K's and 0 BB's.
