The Cats travel to Rock Hill, SC on Tuesday for a midweek game against Big South foe Winthrop. The Eagles are 18-21 overall, and 9-6 in the BS and lead the South Division of the conference. The Catamounts held the Eagles scoreless, 8-0, in Cullowhee on February 18. Freshman Bryan Sammons scored his first career victory just days after his first career save at No. 2 Mississippi State Winthrop dropped 2-of-3 over the weekend against Presbyterian, a team WCU shut out 16-0 in Cullowhee last week ... the Eagles are batting .234 as a team but boast a 3.10 overall ERA on the pitching staff. The Winthrop Ballpark  I guess if you don't spend your dollars on football, you can build facilities like this. |

Hope the weather cooperates in Rock Hill tomorrow afternoon. Some showers supposed to start this afternoon and the threat continues overnight. Light rain forecast for tomorrow morning but hopefully will be gone by 6:00 pm gametime.
Hope a lot of Catamount fans from the Charlotte-Gastonia-Lincolnton area will come across the border and cheer on the Cats!

Weather forecast is looking rather ominous for Rock Hill tomorrow afternoon. 75% chance of rain that I just saw on AccuWeather.com
Moving to Wednesday would be much better, weather-wise. We have no game scheduled for Wed. but Winthrop is playing High Point Thur-Sat. (to avoid Easter Sunday, I guess). Don't know if they would want to play 4 consecutive days or not.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Tough game but the cardiac cats pulled it out in the 13th, winning run scored on a suicde squeeze.
Bus probably didn't pull out until after midnight. I hope the guys can sleep on a bus or they will be dog tired in Tennessee.
