FYI - Elon wins game 1 in their series with Davidson, 8-5 tonight. Cats now tied for first place with Davidson WCU: 14-4 DC: 15-5 We are actually in 1st place. SoCon standings based on win %. Don't like that because theoretically team that went 10-0 and had 17 rainouts would win the league over a team that finished 26-1. Losing Null will be HUGE loss if he is out for too long. Not sure can win tourney without him. So I'd probably have to sit him for final 2 weeks so he might be ready for tourney. I'd rather finish 2nd or third and have a healthy Null for tourney run than see him try to push through it trying to get at large. |

The first-place Catamounts scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to defeat Appy State, 20-10, on Saturday afternoon at Hennon Stadium.
Western Carolina (31-14, 15-4 SoCon) sent 13 batters to the plate and banged out 10 hits in the nine-run first. The Cats went on to score in each of the next four innings and led 20-5 after five innings.

And the App starting pitcher today (Tyler Moore) absolutely owned us in the SoCon tourney last year. In the final game (when they eliminated us), Moore pitched 7 strong innings and we hardly touched him. But we got some payback today. Go Cats !!

Sunday's game is about to start, and again, problems with the camera operator and the audio.
What an overall poor and negative reflection the all-access video feeds are for Western Carolina. I hope no one from ASU paid for this even, it's an embarrassment.

The broadcast is so bad, I've switched over to just listening to the App radio broadcast. This evening I cancel my subscription to Catamount All-Access, I can't take it anymore.
