Who's your picks for the day 1 winners?
As you know, we play the winner of game 1 on Wednesday.
Game 1: #8 Furman vs. #9 UNCG 12 p.m.
Game 2: #7 Elon vs. #10 The Citadel 3:30 p.m.
I think it will be Furman & The Citadel

Our history vs. Furman has not been the best during the last 2-3 years. UNC-G has some good bats, but their pitching is rather weak. If UNC-G throws their #1 pitcher vs. Furman on Tuesday, they should be sucking wind for pitching on Wednesday.
I believe this year's Cats want badly to atone for last year's horrible showing in the SoCon tournament, so I really don't care who we play on Wednesday. But I would kinda prefer to face UNC-G.
E-Loan and CitDogs will be a crap-shoot. Got to choose E-Loan, based upon the record + they hosted and swept CitDogs in games played back in March. Probably will be the best to go ahead and eliminate the CitDogs so there is no chance of them getting hot and defending their home field.

I think i'd have to go with Furman and the Citadel as well.
Furman will probably give us problems in the tournament as well, but the Cats will pull it out in the end.
