2015 'Celebration of Catamount Baseball'

I was pulling into my driveway at 10 minutes past midnight Saturday night. Safe and sound, thanks!

We have some fine young men on the baseball team. I sat at the table with Bryan Sammons and Nate Williams, who are going to be a Dynamic Duo of LHP's for us this Spring.

I got a chuckle out of one exchange with a player Saturday night. I suppose other Catamount Club members got a Christmas Card (using a purple WCU card stock) with a handwritten message of appreciation from one of the Catamount athletes as I did. Mine was written and signed by Austin Atwell, a JUCO transfer who will probably be in the hunt for a starting OF position this year. I happened to introduce myself to Austin (not knowing who he was). When he told me his name I said, "You sent me a Christmas Card!". Austin asked, "Could you read it?" I said, "Sure I could read it." He quickly replied, "I'm glad because my handwriting sucks!" LOL

Good event! I enjoyed it. Seems the selection of #7 Leggett Legacy is always a surprise to me. I haven't guessed one right yet.

Sure hope Jared Burton (and his agent) is going to get a contract worked out with someone in the next 2 weeks. Spring Training time is almost here and he's still a Free Agent. I believe some MLB team can use him this year!
