We NEVER play D-II schools in baseball. We struggle to have an RPI high enough to get an at large bid. We haven't had an at large bid since 2007, even the two years when we won the regular season and lost in the tournament. You want to play all the Big Boys that you possibly can. And hope they are competitive in their Power-5 conference. If they are a cellar-dweller, that kills your RPI also. Playing DII schools doesn't effect our RPI but would effect us to not schedule team that may help. Saw Clemson is not coming to Cullowhee this year which sucks.

Reminder... All reservations are to be in by next Monday, 30-Jan. Tweet from Coach Moranda today that the number expected is up to 200 right now. Guess that includes the players. I put my reservation for three folks in the mail today. Am bringing two friends (a Furman grad and a Clemson grad) with me. Trying to proselytize them into becoming Catamount fans. Looking forward to meeting the 2017 team, celebrating the 2016 Tournament championship and hearing some encouraging words from Tyler White. Come join us !! www.catamountsports.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/121616aaa.html
