I don't seem to remember this many JC transfers into the Catamount baseball program as we have this year. In your opinion, is this good or have it's draw backs?

This year we do have a somewhat larger number of incoming JUCO's than we normally do, as you correctly point out. But most of them are in the area of Pitching.
Do we need help in the Pitching Department? Did you follow the regional in Clemson in June?
Game #1 vs. Clemson our pitchers struck out 5 and walked 17. In addition, we hit two Clemson batters. In my opinion, that is not D-1 quality baseball. It was an embarrassment.
Second game vs. Clemson was a little bit better. 7 strikeouts and 8 walks. Also two HBP. 10 free passes. Any time you issue more free passes than you send back to the dugout carrying their bat, you have not had a good day with your pitching.
Our BB's and HBP's were too high all year. I think that's why Coach Mo went after some "instant help" in the pitching department.
The downside in bringing in (any) JUCO is a possible decline in team chemistry. You have to weigh the risk vs. reward.
