Senior left-handed pitcher Bryan Sammons was named the Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance in last Friday’s 8-0 shutout victory over Marshall in the 2017 home-opener.
Sammons leads WCU with a 2-0 record and a 2.70 ERA among the starters. His 21st career victory moved him into sole possession of ninth-place in program history for career wins, while his 44th career start gave him possession of sixth in the school ledgers.
