Cats threaten in the top of the ninth, loading the bases and pushed across one run but UNCG holds off the rally for a 5-4 win.

Is baseball headed downhill too? I hope not because it has been the bright spot for years. It is amazing what we do with only have 6 scholarships to give when the limit is around 11. Even with the new Promise law, I understand that Randy refuses to fully fund baseball scholarships. I noticed that he and the Chancellor both got rings when the baseball team won the SoCon last year, which is unbelievable to me. Especially since they have done absolutely nothing to support athletics at Western. What a waste of money to give those two clowns a ring.

If he did give more Baseball Scholarships, he would have to match the number with Female Sports. You can be sure most of the windfall from the "Promise Law" will be given to the Football Program. If I was Bobby Moranda, I would look for another job & tell Eaton to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. This underfunding of Athletics have been going on for years. It doesn't matter who is on the BOT or who is the Chancellor. Maybe 72 can shed some light on why this Anti Athletic Mindset has been institutionalized over the past 50 years at WCU. It just seems that one Administration after another perpetuates this hostility toward all Athletics at WCU.
