Georgia (Cobb County in particular) has a lot of baseball talent. Pope HS in Marietta just won their fourth state title in 7 years. This year's roster only has 4 players from GA and none from Cobb. I wonder about that - particularly since Coach Mo spent so much time in ATL.

Roberson rising senior Eric Wallington has committed to play college baseball for Western Carolina University.
The Catamounts are getting the reigning Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year who emerged as the most reliable starter this spring for the 4-A state champion Rams (31-3).
Wallington was a perfect 11-0 with a 0.76 earned-run average and 61 strikeouts in 55.1 innings pitched. He was the winning pitcher in Game 1 of the NCHSAA 4-A championship series (a 3-1 win over New Hanover on June 2). Wallington was selected to the N.C. Baseball Coaches Association 4-A all-state team as well as the Citizen-Times All-WNC team.

Saw a Tweet from Coach Moranda about the Fall Practice Series of 3 games between the Purple and the Gold teams.
Saw a name that I have not seen anywhere previously. Coach said he hit a Grand Salami in one of the games. Justice Bigbie.
Looked him up and found out that he is from Chesapeake, VA. He's our second player from the Tidewater VA area. I think he was a Catcher in HS. Our roster is heavy with Catchers but some of them are capable of playing elsewhere too.
Did anyone see the Fall Games? Did we have any pitching? That remains my greatest concern.
