I was only able to attend the Fri night game against Kent State. Some of the things that I made mental note of: - Lack of fundamentals in the field. I saw infielders not charge to get balls on the big easy hop and as a result get "eaten up" by a bad hop. I saw 20 ft routine throws from 2B to 1B bounce twice. Need more practice.
- Lack of game awareness like how many outs there are. This happened multiple times with the last one being a WCU runner on third with 2 outs, a line drive hit to CF and the runner stayed at 3B to tag. Come on guys, this is D1 college baseball.
- Lack of basic hustle. Maybe it's me but when I see players walk to their position on the field it makes me cringe. Some will jog from the dugout to the chalk line and then walk from there. You guys are 2-17. "Hustle takes no talent". Sprint to your damn positions and act like you want to be out there. Only pitchers can walk. Start with THAT.
Granted it was only one game, but these things are 101.

Like I have been saying. Its not High School anymore. If don't want to give it 100% there is someone waiting to step up! That includes running on and off the field. Players should be sprinting off the field so they can get in there and get ready to hit and not drag up to the plate.

Totally agree. Respect the game for gosh sake. Tempo was better at beginning of season. Once again no fear of next man up. Will lead to a lot of things that aren't acceptable. Minuscule at first but hard to break at the end. Lack of accountability leads to ..................UN-ACCOUNTABILITY. With the troubles we are having, it would seem that hustle is the one thing that you could control. Gata Cats

Had to laugh Saturday when every catcher we have was in the lineup somewhere and the DH had to catch bullpen.
