We start out with the next lowest performing team, but the next 4 weekends, we face the three teams with the strongest starts so far with VMI in the middle- @ Wofford, UNCG home, @ VMI, then home against Mercer.

Errors, lack of speed, no range (becomes a hit if you can't get to it). We should have 5 errors in the game instead of what is on the board! WE HAVE TO PLAY MIDDLE INFIELDERS IN THE MIDDLE INFIELD
I don't care how good you hit, if an error causes 2 runs and you only drive in 1 at the plate, you are NET negative 1.
We should have been out of two innings. So unfair for the pitchers.

We start out with the next lowest performing team.... .....and this WCU team can't handle the next to last, worse team in the SoCon. Kind of like this year's basketball team, if you think they will improve, they are gonna break your heart too. OK, so somebody that's a Coach Mo fan, tell me how this is only one game. Hell no, it's been 20 games.

Losing is very disappointing -- not only for the fans, but for the guys, I'm sure.
Coach is trying to put the players on the field that he believes gives him the best chance to win.
I'm sure if we were coaching, we may do things a different way, but what do we know? We are fans.
I do feel bad for the pitchers, as I thought we pitched a good game. Errors (mental and physical) cost us the game today.
Coach may get it right, he may not. But, I'll still be watching, as I know there is talent on this squad. And I have to believe that Coach will put the pieces in the right spots soon. It will be fun to watch.
See you tomorrow, boys!

Not even worth commenting on. The solution to your infield dilemma is to bring in a sub 200 OF. Can't wait to see what's next. Keep your heads up boys. Don't lose confidence no matter how hard it seems. Got a feeling that yesterday's news and freshman all conference teams are the game plan now. Great recruiting tool. GATA CATS

HILARIOUS -- But, sadly true GATACATS
3B Robinson played better defense than the prior experiment. 2B Bigbie is a catcher, not a MIF -- poor Spencer may need a break. Cappell catches, but lifted as a DH after 2 ABs. Still haven't seen Fricks at 2B, which is where he was recruited to play. 1B Robinson is doing a much better job. Outfield needs to hit. But, really, can these guys who probably need to be in the lineup prove themselves with no real opportunities other than an occasional 9th inning AB when the wind is out of the sails. It's not like anyone is really scorching the ball.
Feel sorry for the pitchers too!

This is the first time in at least 20 years that we have played at The Joe and I haven't been there. The old foot and the old leg are still trying to get acquainted with the new knee. (But it is coming along...)
Followed the game on SDN-Citadel. Good video. Announcers were weak.
We got one of the better pitching efforts of the year today. Fielding was nothing special. Gotta have better contact instead of so many K's.
Will be following The Cats tomorrow and Sunday on SDN-Citadel.
