I'm trying to be optimistic but I don't see a win this week for us. ETSU shakes off the the loss to Wofford by beating us. I foresee another high scoring shootout.
ETSU- 47 WCU- 35

My vote goes to Coach Sanders. He will out coach the WCU Staff.

Is anybody watching this game (or there)? Pretty good offensive efficiency - the last couple of plays weren't good (maybe could have got in position for a FG). I love that the D has gone into the bend but don't break, holding them to 2 FGs. But we have to find a way to get them off the field because the TOP is killing us - the offense only had the ball 4 times the entire half.
Luckily we get the ball to start the 2nd half. If we can get 6+ second half possessions and not give up a special teams or TO score, I think we have a good chance in this game. But still a long way to go.

Looking great in the grand scheme of things, but I’m sorry - going for two there was just DUMB. Is it windy up there today? Regardless, we give back the missed extra point ETS had. If we had led 14-0 and ETS ran off 12 straight , would the coaching staff really be crying in their beer over not having the 15th point? Just silly. Sad thing is, I knew the instant I saw 13-12 that we’d go for two. Oh well, let’s pull away and notch a W.

Sounds like there is a little weather. You go for 2 there because it makes it a 3-point game against a team you just held to 2 FGs. So not awful to go for it, but awful call - we have tried that like 3 or 4 times this season in basically the same position. Leading by 2 is not really any better than leading by 1.

I get the math angle, I just don’t think it’s something to worry about in the first half of a close game. As a rule, two point conversions are low percentage plays, and I would rather an opponent be hurt by a missed conversion than us. I’d like to think that it’s not going to matter of course!

Chance to go up by 2 scores here after a defensive stop. Whaaaaaa.
Come on move them chains.
Defense has played much better today so far and tackling and getting to the ball is a little more balanced shall we say. A little more urgent in making plays getting them in third down situations and long.
Weather looks cold, cloudy, fog and drizzle, and a very light crowd.

Missed opportunity there - TE was open, but pocket started collapsing a bit and Tyrie couldn't hit him. Still - good FG and we have 10 points on 2 second half possessions. Let's see if we keep playing under control on D.
