We'll take them in numerical order, by year starting with the freshmen. #14 Cristian Sanchez Class: Redshirt Junior Height/Weight: 6'0" 170 lbs Hometown: Joliet, Ill. High School: Minooka Community HS Other College: Minooka Community HS Position: Infield Prior to Western Carolina: Transferred to WCU prior to Fall 2018 from Parkland College in Champaign, Ill. ... As a sophomore batted .287 with four doubles and 14 RBI, scoring 19 runs ... Had three sacrifice hits and four stolen bases ... Started his collegiate career at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., appearing in 14 games with 11 starts at third base ... Finished with a .256 (11-for-43) average with two home runs, three doubles, 10 RBI and six runs scored ... Registered three multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games ... High School: Was a two-year member of the varsity baseball team at Minooka Community HS, serving as a team captain as both a junior and senior … Named to the all-area and all-conference teams in both 2014 and 2015 as well as the IHSBCA All-State Team in 2015 … In two seasons on varsity, Minooka went 47-20, winning both a conference and regional championship … Off the baseball field, was a four-year member of the high honor roll.
