wcu72 they are 70-106 the last 3 years. I've watched the slide since 2015. Trust me it's either produce or get out for Bobby. This is not a proud program anymore. You conveniently didn't say anything about a Southern Conference Tournament Championship won in the last 3 years. Yes, this is a proud program.

I am not saying Moranda should be fired. He has had some success and he has been a stable force. But a lot of the success was early on his career, and he did win the SoCon in 2016 which was super exciting and there is potential but unlike football and Speir he inherited a proud program, and I just feel the trajectory of the program going downward instead of upward or at least staying consistent. Could be a number of factors and I am not saying Moranda should be fired unless he wins less than 20 games this year and finish no worse than 6th in SoCon. I mean 20 games at least should be the minimum for a WCU team in a struggling year. However, WCU did show some fight last year in the SoCon. For me it really depends on the fight of the Catamounts. Do they play hard every inning? I mean there could be other factors but baseball is on.
On football, again different situation, Speir dealt with a bunch of factors and those 2 first years are a mulligan to me with Speir, those were Wagner's recruits and a history of losing so even though Speir was the coach, I consider Speir who is actually 3-4 over his seasons not 3-5, but with a 2 year mulligan as he was dealing with Wagner's poor recruiting and coaching, Speir really is 3-2, I would consider the first 2 years should attributed to Wagner. We have had some bad coaches, but he is the worst coach I have ever seen.

Sorry, but the record books say different. Just suppose that Speir has won a championship his first or second year. Would you then attribute that championship to Wagner? Hell no, you wouldn't. Speir's losses are Speir's losses, not someone else's loss.

If my memory is correct, I think Coach Speir purge most of Wagner’s recruits & played Freshman Players that he recruited during the first two years of his Leadership. Therefore, he played his recruits & that decision should be considered when assessing the responsibility for the poor performance of his first two years.

Speir's losses are Speir's losses, not someone else's loss. If that had happened i would have given credit to Wagner for recruiting the players and Speir credit for utilizing and making the most of the talent we had. Unfortunately, we had little to no talent during Wagner's time. All I can say is Tusculum. Some coaches can recruit but not coach and vice versa. So would you say the current situation with mens basketball this year (talent, wins and loses) is all on Prosser in year 1? I am not holding Prosser accountable for any of that this or next year really. In year 3 i would expect to see some improvement but that doesnt mean SoCon championship improvement more so middle of the conference improvement or maybe at best .500 per overall record in year 3. And RIP to Hunter but when he came to Cullowhee we became very competitive for a number of years and made a few smaller postseason tournaments and threatened in the SoCon tournament but even later on the recruiting, coaching and energy was lacking and that is what I fear with Moranda is if he is burnt out at WCU? I think this year will tell the tale. I do wish for his and WCUs success.
