Why can’t ANY of our pitchers retire a single damn batter after the 8th inning??? It’s just amazing how predictably this stuff is beginning to play out. I’ll concede this much, we HAVE to be the best team to own sole possession of last place in a long, long time.

Western Carolina, VMI, & the Citadel are the bottom third of SoCon baseball.
Unfortunately, the two former premier baseball teams of the SoCon, El Cid and WCU are the bottom, of the bottom, of the barrel.
If the Cats can't even win a series against VMI, they have NO chance against GT next week, no chance against Samford in two weeks, and little chance against the Citadel in Cullowhee in three weeks. We've found out this season that playing in Hennon Stadium gives the Cats NO edge. We've won a few more games overall this season than last, but are still a bottom feeder team in a decent conference like the SoCon.
I think both Moranda and the Cats would do better with a new skipper, Moranda most definately needs a change of scenery and a new start somewhere else.
PS. You heard it here first, neither the men's or the women's team win a track & field title today. If you've been following the meet, you know they will both come in at about 3 or 4. WCU now has no sports to hang their had on, Randy need a new job, out of Cullowhee.

I've completely given up on baseball, not the players, we have talent, but the entire coaching staff.

SoCon Twitter shows WCU men and Samford women as track and field champions. Did I miss something?

Yeah I just happened to read this and see it posted on twitter. After a ton of scrolling through a PDF, the women finished second. 32 points behind Samford (what ever that means)
