WOW!!! Coach MO just pinch hit for Wilder with a weak hitter who grounded out to second base with the bases loaded. If he needed to pinch hit he had other hitters to use. Just WOW!! Really makes you wonder. Now Appy is opening it up.

Seriously, I was hoping for rain and lots of it. This team becomes more of a disaster every day, and I can’t stand losing to Watauga.

I just hope no one really thought that Moranda was going to pick up a win in Boone. Moranda sinks deeper and deeper into muck every have. Here's hoping he can find an assistant job somewhere next season. Lose to UNC-A, loose to the goones, get swept by the Keydets and will probably not win a game on the remainder of the season. What's left? I still think we are much improved over last year. Is this the last year of his contract? If it is the last year, he might be let go otherwise I do not think that Randy will buy out his contract. I think that Moranda will be back next year and we will be improved. If he gets to .500 and / or he goes deep in the conference championship, he could likely keep his job. I am not saying that to piss anyone off. I am just saying that he has been at Western for a long time now and although he let things get bad, he is starting to right the ship.

Completely on the opposite side of the fence on this one. I see nothing in the form of righting the ship. I see a bunch of preseason hope for a good season get turned into sub.500 baseball with only the slightest glimmer of doing something in the SoCon tournament. And I see this reoccurring year after year. To my knowledge, the baseball coach has no contract, as he is essentially reviewed on a year to year basis. I don't care about youth or inexperience. He should be at a point in his tenure where he reloads, and doesn't have to rebuild. During the lean years of football and basketball, WCU baseball was always a positive that we could hang our hats on. It just ain't that way anymore.
