I honestly think with how both fan bases feel about each other and how close football and basketball are played that Furman is our true SoCon rival You may be on to something there. However, Furman feels that Wofford and The Citadel are their rivals...

These games matter as well.....It's all about seeding and you can't just lose these games and count on winning the SoCon Championship..... Yes, even if you win the tournament, your seed will suck. If Samford continues their winning ways, they could get a 10 or better seed, WCU would be looking at a 16. If Furman were to win the tournament, where do you think they would be seeded?

Still a lot of conference games to go. I don’t think our seed is going to suck. Too early to say that.

Just a warning, we beat Wofford by only 4 points in Cullowhee.
UNCG (our Wednesday night opponent) is dominating Wofford, 72-49 with a little over 3 minutes remaining in the game. The Cats could very well find themselves in a 3 game hole at the end of the game Wednesday.
It's another big game, can Coach Gray pull this one out?

Wofford, Furman and The Citadel were playing each other in all sports many years before they ever thought about scheduling Western.
