Asheville — (WLOS) There are 120 Minor League Baseball teams associated with big league clubs in the country. Watching the Major League Baseball draft last year, Pascanel Ferreras didn't know if he'd end up in Fresno or Fredericksburg or anywhere in between as he prepared to embark on his professional career. The former Western Carolina Catamount ended up staying about as close as possible to Cullowhee without still rocking the purple and gold. The Houston Astros drafted Ferreras in the 20th round and sent him to low-A Fayetteville. After a solid spring training he was assigned to high-A Asheville, just about an hour drive from his alma mater. wlos.com/sports/content/former-catamounts-star-ferreras-readying-for-asheville-tourists-debut
