I just listened to the coaches teleconference. I thought Coach Waginger did a good job on the call. I am puzzled as to why we don't run more sets to Tank. Coach Waginger said all of his threes came off of normal flow of the offense. I think we should run some sets to get him more open looks, especially during some of those scoring droughts that we have. These last 3 conference games are so critical for us. Can this team make a run like last year during tourney play? I am thinking of going this year, so I hope so.

When he's hot and making shots, we should get him lots of looks. However, he runs hot and cold like Sumler, so we have to be careful. He's taken 179 attempts, to make his 71 three pointers.

Tank is shooting around 40% from the 3 pt line and over 46% in conference games - last time I checked that was pretty good. Your point is well taken that all of these players go hot and cold. I just want to see a game where we shoot and make high quality shots. It seems we go on long stretches without scoring and during that time we have a high number of forced or contested shots. Run some good sets to get your best shooters like Sumler and Tank open for good looks.

As I see it, what keeps this team from being a championship team is two things. Inconsistent shooting and outrageous fouling on defense.
We all know how hot & cold our scoring is, but even that could be overcome if it was not for the tendency to foul every time the opponent takes the ball inside. Most of our fouls come in the paint, resulting in two free throws, even when the numbers of fouls are close, the Cats send their opponents to the foul line at least double the attempts they get.
