Western Kentucky is leaving the Sun Belt to join Conference USA in 2014, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy on Saturday.

An official announcement is expected Monday.

The leading expansion candidates for the Sun Belt to replace Western Kentucky are James Madison and Liberty, sources said.

That's if they want it. I don't think JMU sees the SB as much of a step up, they may pass this one to Liberty. They just announced an overall study of their athletics programs that is due out this summer. I'm not sure they will move before that is released, and I don't think the SB will wait.
