Western Carolina softball (18-31, 8-13 Southern Conference) picked up its third Southern Conference series win of the season taking the rubber match against Georgia Southern (24-25, 10-7 SoCon) 5-2 Sunday at the Catamount Softball Complex. Georgia Southern jumped on the board in the top of the first inning. Western Carolina starting pitcher Jordan Garrett gave up a lead-off walk to Alexa Lewis who moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Lexi Allen.
