I was on the baseball team & Reynolds Dorm was the Jock Dorm. I know exactly what you are talking about. The problem now was created by Bardo when he was told to increase the size of Western by Mr. Boles who was in charge of the UNC Universities. Dr. Belcher has his work cut out for him. Remember, you can increase enrollment without adversely attracting quality students. Again, App State, UNCC, and ECU have done it & I'm sure WCU can follow their blueprints.

There is bound to be some shuffling for the 2015 football schedule. It was recently announced that we will play at Texas A & M next season and some sites still show us at Tennessee (no set date) and we are supposed to have a return trip to Coastal Carolina in 2015 as well. If we play our four 2014 SoCon home opponents on the road in 2015 at Wofford, Citadel, Chattanooga, and VMI, that would be a total of 7 road games. With FCS reverting back to an 11 game schedule in 2015 that only leaves 4 home dates of Mercer, Samford, Furman and ETSU??. Look for either Tennessee or Coastal dates to be pushed back to future years to allow us to pick up another home game for 2015.

2015 home: Mercer, Furman, VMI, Samford, Presbyterian-maybe?, TBA 2015 away: at UTC, at Woff, at Citadel, at VMI, at Texas a&m, at UT
I can see Randy Eaton rescheduling the beach chickens because you ain't turning down TWO SEC PAYCHECKS. GO CATS!

I rather we have a lower acceptance rate! to date, our enrollment has increased while maintaining a very low acceptance rate, this is very good news for the worth of our degrees.

Just checked Tennessee's 2015 schedule & Western is on their schedule. However no date/time has been established. Thanks for the update, that firms up the three games we know about at Coastal Carolina at Texas A&M (Nov. 14) at Tennessee I wonder how long we are going to play two FBS games per season? I rather play 2 FBS teams a season. More money, better chance at beating them, and great experience for the boys.

The experience for the players was worth it. There was no pressure on them whatsoever and they really enjoyed the experience of being in Neyland Stadium and the 93,000 plus that showed. Same thing with Alabama two years ago. The loss will last one season and not really count against you in the polls, but the money goes a long way toward building the program.

Did you really mean "better chance at beating them" in your post? I agree if one of the teams is a MTSU or USF like the past 2 seasons, but we are looking at a tall-order if we play 2 SEC teams a year like Tennessee and Texas A&M. Throw in Coastal (not sure what they have coming back), and if this year's schedule was thought of as "easy" even with 2 FBS teams on it, next year's would have to be one of the toughest in FCS (again, if Coastal is a quality team next year). If we are lucky enough to get to 7 or 8 wins this year, even though we are going to be a better team in 2015 it might be hard to produce any more wins than that. Getting at least 5 or 6 wins in conference with those kinds of schedules are just about required for having a winning record, and tying for or winning the conference becomes almost necessary to make the playoffs.
I guess my point is I don't mind 2 "money" games a year, but I would much prefer one of them not being an SEC team (the better chances come against teams like Wake, USF, etc.). Of course the financials are what drive this, having 2 almost assured losses and probably not having 2 DII games means 2015 will be tough and 2 big schools probably stay on the slate for the foreseeable future.
