That game is plum ugly for the Cats. I think I'd consider resigning if I were the HC with a season like this. But according to the above video, she seems to think her team has been in most of the conference games. I'm amazed how much some folks can rationalize to themselves.

I'm sure that Mercer appreciates the cupcake game WCU provided, to open the tournament for the Bears. How about the cupcake Samford provided in he semifinal? It’s hard to quantify how much better than the rest of the field Mercer is. They slumped a little in February, which is to say they had games where the margin was in single digits. Calloway would be the top scorer on any other team in the league, and she gets to be second to Lawrence, who genuinely belongs in the ACC/SEC. And they have the top PG in the league. They’re not great inside, but they’re solid. And right now, they’re team on a mission. Very good. |
