does anyone know if westerns football games are going to be locked behind espn's new plus subscription service? I do not know for certain but I would say that most of our home games/SoCon away games may possibly be on ESPN+ or ESPN3 but the way it seems lately, it will likely and unfortunately be on ESPN+. The non-conference away games will be determined based on who we play and what kind of deals they have, such as the standard ESPNs, ACC Digital (likely for UNC), and I think GWU has the online Big South Network stream. I have season tickets this year so I will be at all the home games and the Gardner Webb game and I have a subscription to ESPN+ (mainly so I can watch WCU when they are on ESPN+ and also for my stepson so can have access to MLS and other soccer matches, as he is into that sport.).

It is a bit tedious, but you can look at ESPN.com and see schedules that include a column for "National TV". On my phone I had to do this 1 week at a time and keep changing back to show the Southern Conference every week. I just went through the first 6 weeks and the only game listed with any TV for WCU was against GWU on ESPN+. I also noticed that most of the SoCon games were not listed for ESPN3 or ESPN+ when last year pretty much all of the games could be seen. I did find the below link about the contract with ESPN, so hopefully they just haven't updated the full ESPN schedule yet to include the smaller schools/conferences. www.soconsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4000&ATCLID=210594367

My understanding is that we will have most of our games on TV - and if not anywhere else - on ESPN+. I think it's possible that WMYA 40 will carry one or two games. Not sure how we'll see the Furman game if out of the area and not on cable.

I was asking because i do not have espn plus so that means i won't get to watch any games except homecoming which sucks I don't have ESPN+ at this point, but my plan is to subscribe for the months of football and basketball season, I figure around 6 months worth at $4.95 per month, about 35 bucks which won't be too bad. I have ESPN3, but haven't used it since the end of basketball season, so I know I won't use the ESPN+ any past basketball either, regardless of what they broadcast.
