Ian went down with a knee injury yesterday. Rumor has it he tore his meniscus. Bad news for the special teams game if that is true.

I hope he is ok. Put him in a protected jersey for the rest of the year. No reason for him to get hurt in practice.

In the event that Ian is injured and misses any time (be it a game or an extended period), what do our backups look like? We have taken for granted how lucky we are having Ian as an actual weapon the last few years. I am hopeful we don't have the need for such a strong punting game until after the first few weeks. Who am I kidding - I hope we don't have to punt all year!!!
Regardless, Ian is an All-American caliber player, so here is hoping for the best - punters aren't typically going to get drafted, but he could have a shot to kick at the next level.

I sure hope he is OK. He is an outstanding young man & he has a cannon for a leg. 95, you are right about having Ian being a tremendous asset for the Catamounts. He always puts the ball in bad field position for our opponents. Hopefully Smack or Ian’s Dad will keep us posted on how he is doing.
