To be honest, in my opinion it is much more about the teams than the environment in the SoCon. We led the league in attendance last year, but I don't recall any kind of hostile environment or intimidation factor since App State or Georgia Southern left. Furman ***used to have*** an advantage. I remember in the late 80s Paladin Stadium being full at every home game and Furman losing very few of them. But nowadays, 10k at a game is a big deal for most teams, and 25-50% of the fans leave or lose interest by halftime.
All but VMI have a winning record, but in terms of the venue making it tough to play I'm not sure any of them make too much of a difference. The "Xs and Os" and "Jimmys and Joes" are what makes it hard.

I think I would say Wofford's stadium, or at least while Ayers was there.
