I saw this slideshow today in the biz journal and thought it was very interesting. I know most of these schools are way bigger than Western but it goes to show what colleges do in regards to funding of the sports and how the students play a big part in it. Heads up there is small school included and one that we have played recently.

I could be wrong, but I think that is actually about the number of undergrads that are actually in Cullowhee. That 11k number includes post-grads, those enrolled in Asheville, and even those enrolled in on-line degree producing programs.
