I think someone should put a banner over the pressbox "Welcome to the RAT HOLE" Actually, we don't need a banner. The press box at WCU's reputation precedes it, every team in the conference knows it, as well as those that visit out-of-conference. I have no idea why it's not an embarrassment to the administration. Yes, I do, you have to care, to be embarrassed.

I think i want to donate an old double wide trailer for the new press box. Would look a little better than the single wide trash that’s there now.

Just curious here....what, if anything, has been done to it in the way of upgrades etc. since it was built?

I think the structure can not be modified in any way, without zoning requirements requiring major modifications to the structure. I may be mistaken about this, but that is what I was told. Maybe Steve White would enlighten us on this subject?

My concerns, ideas, recommendations and all of yours that I've read about WILL BE SHARED with someone this week in a sit down meeting. Not mentioning names. I'll post my update after the meeting. Thank you Cat nation.

Thank you Cat nation. Here is my list: 1. Full funding of all of our sports 2. Coaching pay is brought up to equal to other SoCon schools 3. Indoor practice facility is built 4. Facilities upgraded starting with football Athletics has been put on the back burner by Administration far too long... No other event brings alumni back like a home football game... If the Admin. is smart they will realize that the "kickback" for taking care if athletics will pay for the investment they need to make... Skip

I could start with something as simple as seeing a plan. Real details of actual athletic upgrades and additions that are simply in-line with what is seen at other NC campuses, and that would make us at least competitive with our peers in the SoCon. The plan should include budgets, and outline how to reach those. If the bulk (or all) of the money says "private" funds then we know it will never happen - "record years" of Catamount Club giving can't even stay up with the cost of scholarships.
And the biggest questions all simply start with why??? Why can App ask for athletic-related upgrades and we can't? Why can ETSU and Mercer so quickly pass us in athletics? Why are athletics not deemed important at WCU? Even acknowledgement of those as real issues, and some resoning that I might disagree with would be better than the whole thing being ignored.

I appreciate you taking this approach.
