I'd say only one type of player will sing with Speir after this disaster of a season.
Only players that get no other DI offers. I think kids will avoid this program like the plague. Why should they sign with a losing program, when they can go with UTC, Mercer, Furman, Wofford, well....you get the picture?
But, just wait, here's what one of Speirs' quotes will be in Feb. 2019 after the 2019 class is announced, "we signed players to fill the holes we needed to fill, I feel really good about this class it could be one of our best classes."

Here what he said after the last class: "National Signing Day is a culmination of a lot of hard work by our coaches, support staff, our faculty, and our University campus as a whole. A tremendous amount of time and effort by the WCU family went into assembling an outstanding group of student-athletes. The Catamounts got better today!" said Speir. "I would also like to thank our Catamount Nation -- you were instrumental in helping us by creating a game day environment that is second to none in the Southern Conference. That home atmosphere in Cullowhee left lasting impressions with many of our recruits and was a big part in their decision to come to WCU." "In looking at the needs of our football team after losing so many seniors a year ago, this class really met some immediate needs of our defense while providing some outstanding talent and depth for our team on offense," Speir added. "I feel like the success that we've enjoyed over the past four years has really enhanced the caliber of student-athlete that we've been able to attract here at Western Carolina."
