A win is a win, but based on the scores of the first 3 games, it looks like we are going to have similar results to previous seasons. We were spoiled for a few years when Kelly was our coach. She was able to recruit. The main problem is recruiting and getting the right talent to come to Western. Other than a few years as Kelly as the coach and her predecessor as the coach, Women's Basketball at Western has been a disaster for a very long time. |

Kelly proved everybody wrong about recruiting in Cullowhee. If Western hires the right coach the sport teams can be winners. She was a great Coach & she jumped to NC State to soon. She had the pedigree to build a program similar to what Old Dominion had in the 1990s. I hated to see her go. |
