It couldn't be worse. 2 FBS games we can't win and one non-DI game that won't help if we do win, that's 3 of 12 games that are a throw-a-way as far as the playoffs are concerned.
That leaves 9 games to win 8 to ensure a seat in the plaoffs, for a team that won 3 games last season (one against a non-DI team), then proceeded to lose 8 straight games.
This gets to be a bigger joke as the years pass.

At least we will beat one team from the GSP area next season. What a joke.....as a fan I can't even justify paying the price of admission or spending a Saturday afternoon attending that game. I'd rather see us play 7 road games, if it meant a competitive football game with another fcs opponent.

I wish y’all could at least attempt to be positive about something. NGU ain’t a great opponent but it is what it is and at least it is a sixth home game. The best thing is that none of these games should happen over fall break.

Easy there young catamount.....that positive ray of sunshine you're trying to bring in here is sure to fade in time. Appreciate the youthful energy though.

I think you made my point for me. Thanks.

Drinking in the parking lot and leaving at halftime is much more important you know. At least with NGU the game might warrant leaving at halftime. It's a win for everyone.

You can always donate your ticket back to the Catamount Club if you don't go they will put someone in your seats. Tailgating is still going to happen no matter the team! The Lambda Chi Alpha tent is there every home game, along with the Catamount Tailgating Club. No reason to miss a party just because of the opponent.

I refuse to believe that for two years running, they could not get a FCS team to come to Cullowhee rather than schedule a Div II team. With them taking on a second FBS opponent, they needed some type of FCS team on the schedule, from the Pioneer League, Big South, or OVC.
This schedule just makes it that much more difficult on Speir to make the playoffs, and looks to be a schdule setting up the HC for failure. Maybe the AD does not want him to be successful?
