Furman and Samford field more teams than we do and you get so many points for just fielding a team. My point is that these cups are not really a fair apples to apples comparison because some schools can afford to support more sports.

I am not saying we should not be better, but one reason we will never win the cups is that we do not field enough teams. Furman and Samford field more teams than we do and you get so many points for just fielding a team. My point is that these cups are not really a fair apples to apples comparison because some schools can afford to support more sports.Here's where you are just wrong, wrong, wrong. If you would read about how the cups are scored, you'd know better. It does not matter how many sports a school fields......... only 7 sports are utilized for each school's score. Anyway, the men are in last place, while the women are in 6th for their respective cups. Not a good showing. Of course, it can change, if we can win the baseball championship, the softball championship, both track & field chanpionships, & men's and women's tennis championships. Otherwise, it will remain a poor showing.
