It is never who we think it is. Many people were named during the search for the men's basketball coach and we ended up hiring the head assistant at Winthrop. Who knows who Randy will hire, but if a coach is going to win in women's basketball at Western, they have to be a special kind of coach. A run of the mill coach will not get it done and I don't think an assistant from a mid-major will get it done either. Usually don't dive deep into searches, but I did SOME research on this person. Last several years at last institution, ALL assistants left for "lesser" schools, and many players also left. On top of that, NCAA violations were apparently reasons given for her "leaving". Just my opinion, but would hate to have Women's Basketball be source of NCAA sanctions on entire program.

From everything I've heard from very reliable sources, I feel terrible for anyone that works with or is associated with the program if she is hired at WCU. Not a good person.
