Has anyone attended any of the fall practices/scrimmages? Please provide your opinion and early take of the team (defensively, hitting, pitching, speed, athleticism, etc.) Comparisons to last year's team?

I was there 9/21 and it looks like they are still knocking off some rust. Lot of new faces. I watched Chase and like 3-4 new faces. I thought pitching was better than hitting which is understandable this time of year. I thought for most part defense looked really good. Not sure how they are going to go with the middle of the infield. I know we have a few that are getting over injuries either from last year or the summer too. I believe there are a few in that banged up group that will be big part of teams success. I know my son Andrew had to have a PRP injection this summer and so did a couple or so more and are rehabbing now. When they come back I believe they will contribute. I'm optimistic so far but that is my nature as well.

Did we have any underclassmen to go pro? Are the pitchers that had arm problems last year OK? Did you see any new players that looked good at the plate? Again, thank you for the Fall Report. Coach Mo is not a great source of information when it comes to informing the fans about the progress of the Baseball Team & individual players.

I just saw on social media that the team will apparently be going to Ohio again to play at Prasco Park next weekend, playing Ohio State on Oct. 13th. Unfortunately, I read this on another team's website through a friend that follows Ohio State. Was this information available anywhere for WCU fans? Is there a second fall game scheduled?
Catamount social media presence (at least for baseball) is absolutely horrible. Most pre-teens maintain a better social media presence and keep their fan base more informed. As I've mentioned previously, this is not a budget/resource issue. Plenty of high school and JUCO teams do a pretty decent job of marketing through social media and they do it with very limited resources.

The team does play at Prasco on the 13th against Ohio St. at 2pm and then they will play Miami of Ohio on Monday, October 14th at 7pm at their home field. This information is on the baseball link under the write up about "Catamount Baseball Early Into Fall Practice"
