They have a much larger student body, and obviously deeper pockets than Western has or probably ever will have.
ASU has the 4th largest budget in the SunBelt at $36,940,867.00. Their student activity fees brings in $12,518,144.00 per year, while WCU activity fees only beings in $6,467,308.00. So, ASU gets twice from student fees what WCU does. We need more students.

It is all about priorities. App had about 13K students when they started upgrading their facilities. Not much bigger than we are and they have paid for all of their upgrades by borrowing the money by issuing bonds approved by the BOG and not from private donations. It is not that they have deeper pockets, it is that they have different priorities and better leadership who understand the importance of football in the south. Apps academic reputation has improved because of football. But our band is better. What a joke we are.
