I sure they are so proud, they won in front of 21,202 fans (less fans than they draw at a home game) in a 73 thousand seat stadium, against UAB, a team that just re-started football in 2017. I'm sure they are proud of this win!!!!
I just wonder how many tickets ASU had to purchase? and how much the university athletic department actually, lost after expenses to participate in this prestigious bowl?
Participating in the majority of today's bowls are actually money losing propositions for the participating teams, they are paid X number of dollars, but also have to purchase X number of seats from the bowl committee. What they don't see to their fans is a loss for the athletic department.
