Yes, cause for concern.
These three folks were "new" in the Fall (transfers in); were on the team through Fall Practice and now deciding to transfer out during the semester break. I believe Silkwood could have been very helpful for us on the mound this year. Was looking forward to seeing what he could do. Ben Elder was a pitcher. We don't need to lose pitchers. Perhaps the Catcher (Barnard) could see that he was not going to get a lot of PT with Luke Robinson and Goehrig ahead of him.
The comment about Moranda not allowing his Asst. Coaches TO COACH is a very valid one. You don't have to go to too many games and observe and you know that he is a micro-manager. Perhaps to a fault.
The only Asst. Coach that he ever allowed to coach was Todd Guilliams. And Guilliams has forgotten more baseball than Moranda ever knew... and Moranda knows it. He and Guilliams go back to Eastern Kentucky days together. Todd stayed one year and went to Univ. of Kentucky to help Nick Mingione be successful there. Todd used to coach Mingione at Embry-Riddle.
I believe that Mo's relationships with Asst. Coaches may be a major reason we have such high turnover on Asst. Coaches... They get disgusted and leave or he fires them as scapegoats after a bad season.

Well here’s what I’ve kind of dig around and looked at from social Media. Silkwood was going to be a weekend starter presumably, with his stats I’m pretty sure, and he started the fall World Series game one. If you looked at the fall game’s Barnard caught every time. Who I’m sure was on big scholarship, all three I’m sure were. The assistant who “resigned” won what 250+ baseball games at a top Junior college, Took the teams hitting to become the best in the so con in a year. How fishy is it that all of this happened right before break, and right after the athletic director is forced out? Was moranda threatened, how many coaches can a Head coach go through. If any coach should have been removed it should be the head or the Pitching coach, who led the worst pitching staff in school history. But he also played for moranda so I wonder if it’s a good ole boy system now.maybe someone should reach out to one of the guys who left or even reach out to players currently there, or tweet them about it, since they’ve been bad about social media for years I’m sure they will look at it next week. Atleast basketball games are a blast right now!

I’m the father of a player on the team. I understand the frustration with the past several years. It’s not my place to divulge what is going on behind the scenes or why Garcia and the the players left. But if you all knew the whole story you would be proud and supportive of Coach Moranda in this situation.

He spoke to Silkwood and Coach Mo personally and got a text from Garcia.

Hearing rumors that another probable starter just quit. What is going on with all these late departures?

Hearing rumors that another probable starter just quit. What is going on with all these late departures? From what I hav been told by my sons is that we lost 3 players when Garcia left. RHP-Silkwood, LHP-Elder, and I think the name is Barnard a catcher.

Well unless your source knows this pitcher personally he (the pitcher) hasn't told his intentions to the team
