Piedmont College at Western Carolina The Cat's Matt Halvorsen & Mason Faulkner both scored 15 points as the Catamounts raced past Division III Piedmont 108-47 on Saturday. Cameron Gibson added 14 points for the Catamounts, while Carlos Dotson and Marcus Thomas each had 13. Halvorsen hit 5 of 6 3-pointers. Faulkner also had seven rebounds and seven assists for the Catamounts, while Dotson posted 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season Western Carolina scored at least 100 points.
Milligan at Mercer Mercer's Ethan Stair & Victor Bafutto both posted double-doubles as the Bears romped to a 104-53 victory over NAIA-member Milligan College. Stair finished with 17 points & 10 rebounds, while Bafutto made 13 points & 12 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Kamar Robertson hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 with 7 rebounds. Jeffrey Gary had 12 points, while reserves Mitch Prendergast (13), James Glisson III (11) and Maciej Bender (10) also scored in double figures.
William Peace at UNCA The Spartans tallied a program record 23 steals against Division III-William Peace, beating the Pacers by 72 with a final score of 106-34.

Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 - the SoCon went 2-1 today, but VMI lost its second game to a Big South team.
Cumberland at Chattanooga The Moc's Ramon Vila totaled 12 points & eight rebounds as Chattanooga ran to a 72-42 victory over NAIA-Cumberland University on Sunday. David Jean-Baptiste sank three 3-pointers and scored 11 for the Mocs (9-5), who shot 46% from the floor and outrebounded the Phoenix 46-25. Matt Ryan added 10 points as 11 different Mocs scored.
VMI at SC Upstate The Spartan's Everette Hammond made five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points and South Carolina Upstate beat VMI 91-82 on Sunday. Hammond made half of his 20-shot attempts and the Spartans (5-8) finished 33-of-66 shooting — including 10 of 25 from long range — and missed just three of 18 foul shots. Travis Evee led VMI (5-9) with 25 points, Garrett Gilkeson scored 15 and Kamdyn Curfman 11.
Mars Hill at ETSU The Bucs cruised to a record-setting 69-point win over Mars Hill, 117-48, on Sunday afternoon in their non-conference finale. Five Buccaneers scored in double figures with Bo Hodges (Nashville, Tenn.)pacing the Blue and Gold with 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Jeromy Rodriguez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) and Tray Boyd III (Memphis, Tenn.) both netted 18 points. Rodriguez collected his fourth double-double of the season (19th career) after grabbing 13 rebounds, while shooting 7-of-10 from the field. Boyd also totaled a career-high eight steals – matching most by a Buccaneer since Eryk Thomasregistered eight against Jacksonville on Jan. 15, 2007. Boyd also dished out six of the Bucs’ season-high 24 assists. Daivien Williamson (Winston-Salem, N.C.) finished with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists and Isaiah Tisdale (Lexington, Ky.) added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
