I noticed two of our conference mates are playing games against App St. I thought i heard when they moved to the sun belt that the reason they could not continue a game against us was due to the sun belt not allowing them to play Socon schools anymore. So if not that is it due to the money not being right?

I think the line of thought about not playing ASU or GSU was that as a non-power5 school, they could not pay as much as the power 5 schools.

I don't think the Sun Belt has ever had any rules about not playing SoCon schools in any sport. Those decisions are left up to the individual schools. I'm sure that all the SB schools only want to schedule FCS teams that they are conformable they can beat. Most don't want to play a school that has a good potential to win a game on the home SB team's field, then have to pay that team as well.

Speir told me long ago that App did not want to pay us to play us and he told Satterfield he would have to have a nice check ready for us to come to Boone. They didn't want to do that
