I don't think those teams are looking to play football in the Big South, by joining the ASUN. Apparently the ASUN is taking a stab at establishing football, but they need one more football playing school to do that. This is a BIG loss for the Big South if it happens.
With the teams listed and adding KSU and UNA, the ASUN would be a power conference right from the start.

WCU could be left in the SoCon with only small private schools. I then doubt if any other conference interested with WCU. The worse fate could be the small privates decide to give the last remaining large public school the boot. What happens then? We have no one looking at the future for WCU, just like the last 60 years. We'd best be talking to ETSU and Chatty and hope for a package deal that includes WCU if they decide to leave the SoCon.

We lost any athletic forward thinkers when Coach Waters was fired. Never had one since him, or never had one that could make a difference with the bone headed administrations WCU has been saddled with for the past 50 years. Stuck in the SoCon with schools that don't want us, how bad can it get? You listening Alex?

Need to be looking to the future and whats best for WCU . App moved up when they were about our size, Marshall and Coastal about our size. Seems like the administration justs sits back and draws a paycheck in Cullowhee. Where are the committees for preparing for the future. Committees made up of not just high donors or their friends.
