I thought it was a good addition to the 2020 MLB season. They were trying to prevent those 17-18 inning games during the pandemic environment.
NCAA can gain from eliminating extra long games that might go deep into Friday night or delay "get-away" on Sundays.
I liked the rule because it introduced another element of strategy. What do you do with the runner on 2nd base and no outs to start the inning? Try to bunt him over? Just hit away? Especially if your batter has the ability to hit the ball to (or through) the right side of the infield?

No question, IMO, the rule is good for the SoCon since they went to DH on Saturdays for conference games.
