sometime in the next month or two, maybe the Sunday after the WCU vs EKU game. I have always wanted to see my Cleveland Indians play but never have gotten to see them in person (the closest to that was the former Kinston Indians (now known as the Down East Wood Ducks, Texas Rangers farm system) no sooner than 15 years ago). I wanted to see the Indians before they change their names to my assumption is "Guardians" is the most likely scenario. So, have any of you ever been to an Indians game, if not at least to Cleveland? Can you give me pointers on where to stay etc. I will likely fly out and either Uber/Lyft a ride to the hotel and to the stadium and back (and take one trip to the Rock n Roll HoF) for a couple of days. Unless I can get someone to go with me, looks like I flying solo, lol!!!.

Staying at a downtown hotel for a nominal price and going to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Indians out of town that weekend. Looking for other fun things to do and a good restaurant or two.

I haven't been to Cleveland in a long time, but last time I went the company I was there doing work for took me to a Quaker Steak & Lube for a lunch and a dinner (not the same trip). It is a bit of a chain-type place, but I remember it being pretty good. They have them in multiple states now (including SC), so maybe not as much of a novelty as it was 17 or 18 years ago. If you are a "Diners, Drive-In, and Dives" fan (I am), you could also check-out some of these: www.dinersdriveinsdiveslocations.com/cleveland-ohio.html

The only Quaker Steak I've been to is by the race track in Concord. Also - a long time ago.

My first wife and I had a road trip planned for the Summer of 2020, however something happened in March that shut down everything....
Were going up to Pittsburgh, then over to Cleveland and then around Lake Erie, across southern Michigan and up to Toronto. Be able to check 3 more MLB parks off my bucket list. (The list is already in single digits.)
Don't know when we will get that one on the schedule, but next Summer we are thinking about Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Minnesota, then down to Omaha for the CWS, Arlington (Texas) and then on down to Houston to see children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. That would leave Toronto as a solo trip.

I’ve been to see the Erie Warriors several times . Twice at the old stadium and once at Jacobs Field. It has been years so I can’t offer you any ideas about where to eat. First time I saw them play it was early may and they were already out of the race . 7400 people there in a stadium that held over 60k it looked like. The police had A jail and their own concession stand under the stadium. Drinks and hotdogs .50 each .The police union also had their own bar called the zone car . Visiting police eat and drink for free. A good time was had by all.
