Monday's recap: A very good night for the conference, as all five SoCon teams ended the night with a victory.
-Summit 40 - VMI 88
The VMI men's basketball team scored 18 of the game's first 20 points and breezed to an 88-40 win Tuesday night over visiting Clarks Summit University (Pa.) in a non-conference game in Cameron Hall.
-Chattanooga 82 - Tenn Tech 65
The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team rebounded from a slow start with a dominating second-half performance to sprint its way to an 82-65 win on the road at Tennessee Tech inside the Eblen Center on Tuesday night in Cookeville, Tennessee. Trailing 41-35 at the half, Chattanooga out-scored Tennessee Tech 47-24 in the second half and held the home team to just a 33.3% (9-for-27) field goal percentage. UTC improved to 6-1 following the win while TTU fell to 2-5.
-Furman 74 - High Point 70
Furman's Marcus Foster and Jalen Slawson each recorded double-doubles on Tuesday evening to lead the Furman men's basketball team in a 74-70 double-overtime victory over the High Point Panthers inside the Qubein Center.
-Elon 61 - UNCG 74
Bas Leyte and Khyre Thompson hit the honey-colored hardwood less than a minute into the UNCG men's basketball team's 74-61 triumph over Elon at the Greensboro Coliseum Tuesday night.
-Mississippi College 58 - Samford 83
The Samford University men's basketball team picked up its fourth straight win with an 83-58 victory over Mississippi College at the Pete Hanna Center. Jacob Tryon had his best game at home for the Bulldogs (6-1) with 16 points and six rebounds. Jaden Campbell and Wesley Cardet joined him in double digits with 12 and 11, respectively. Zach Jones led MC with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
