Western Carolina women's tennis opens the 2022 season at home at 2 p.m. Wednesday hosting Lenoir-Rhyne at the Catamount Tennis Complex. This will be the 12th meeting between the Catamounts and Bears with WCU holding a 9-2 advantage. Western Carolina has won the last five meetings and is 5-0 at home against Lenoir-Rhyne. The two clubs last met on Jan. 29, 2021 with the Catamounts winning 6-1 in the dual match. Western Carolina returns six players from the 2021 season including Southern Conference First Team All-Conference selection, Kata Foldeak. The sophomore from Budapest, Hungary was also a SoCon All-Freshman honoree.
