Cats are losing to a team picked to finish 9th (last place) in the OVC.

It seems that the more baseball this team plays, the more poorly thy perform.
Pitching not great, hitting almost not existent, at least they seem to have improved on the errors, none so far in this game.

The Skyhawks add one insurance run in the top of the 9th, it's 6-1 UTM, Cats down to their last 3 outs and trailing by 5 runs.

UT Martin adds two runs in the inning, it's now 5-1 UTM. Cats are losing to a team picked to finish 9th (last place) in the OVC. Both teams are in 8th place in their respective conference. That means last place for the Cats, next to last for the Skyhawks in the OVC. In RPI standings (for what it's worth at this point of the season), the OVC comes in at #13, while the SoCon is at #19. |

Skyhawks spoil a strong pitching effort by Zebby Matthews who struck out 12 over 6.2 innings to take game one of today's doubleheader; Drew Needham tripled, Nate Stocum homered in loss. Game 2 scheduled for 5:20 pm
