Samford now owns the SoCon in both men's & women's Track & Field, something that used to be reserved for the Catamounts. Now, look at this baseball score, 22-3 in 7 innings, play halted by the mercy rule. Not only can we not win games, we can't even compete all 9 innings. I don't read any Moranda supporters on here today, telling us how we'll come back and win the tournament. Look at all the pitching we saved in those midweek games Moranda doesn't care about. If the SoCon would use the National RPI Rankings to determine the seedings in the Tourney, the mid-week games would take on a different priority for Coach Mo. In my opinion, we have 3 Pitchers on the team & the rest of them are basically throwers. WCU has a pretty good hitting team but Coach Mo has Home Run players on the bench. Pitching has been Coach MO’s Achilles Heel for a number of years & I don’t see it getting better. |

A tremendous Catamount rally falls just short as WCU brought the game-tying run to the plate in both the eighth and ninth innings, but was unable to secure the equalizer.
Spartans advance, WCU season ends at 26-31-1.

UNCG beat Wofford twice today to win the SoCon tournament. It couldn't have happened to a better group, as Wofford's head coach is a prick.
