I didn’t see a 2024 thread so I thought I’d start one. My main motivation to do so is because my cousin (well, cousin’s son) has been getting interest from WCU. I’m PUMPED about the possibility of him playing for my alma mater. Our coaching staff was the first to contact him and speak with him directly. Jacoby Martin, 6’2 235lb DE, Richmond SR High School, Rockingham, NC. 4.3 GPA Many of you know that RSHS is a 4A powerhouse in NC. Last year, as a Sophomore, he started and was even a captain for several games. The kicker? He is a great student (4.3 GPA) and even better kid. He also has interest from App State, Columbia, Duke and Virginia Tech. Here is his sophomore highlights: www.hudl.com/video/3/15749682/619458cd02b31b09d425b20aHe will likely play on a bigger stage than Western, but I thought I would at least give a quick humble brag

Even if you think it's true, why would you say it on this board?

They were the first school to officially reach out, so I thought that warranted a post here. Who knows who is going to even offer him at this point. He is a rising Junior. He could play in the SOCON, or he could play in a P5 conference. Who knows at this point. For his sake (it’s my cousin after all) I hope he does have bigger and better opportunities. Again, I’m sorry if the post came off the wrong way.

YOU SAID you were PUMPED at the thought of him playing at your alma mater. I don't know why anyone would be offended by your "bragging." Congrats, and I hope if he doesn't choose Western, that he is happy and successful wherever he ends up.

His dad is Will Muschamp. Didn't we offer his other son a few years ago?
