It gets pointed out annually, but the STATS and Coaches polls are absolute jokes. The people who start in the top-25 pretty much stay there. Samford beat KSU by 10 points and it was far from a fluke (they looked like the better and more complete team), yet they are 6 to 8 spots BEHIND them in those polls. At least the AGS poll is done by people who really take looking at how teams perform seriously, and they allow for teams to jump into the rankings based on actual results. But of course, the AGS poll doesn't matter come playoff invitation time.

But of course, the AGS poll doesn't matter come playoff invitation time. I always think the AGS poll is closer to reality on a week-to-week basis. Some of the other polls are a complete joke and show strong preference to the MVFC and the Big Sky teams, also seems the ASUN is getting a lot of love as well.
